Programme note
Punctuation marks guarantee coherency of the text, its logic, syntax, and intonation. In music, the role of punctuation marks historically play caesuras, pauses, and cadences. Invisible punctuation marks divide parts of the form, steps of sequences and so forth. Can they exist outside the text? Will they get their own meaning when liberated from the text structured by them? Will they lose their functionality being removed from a habitual context, or will they gain a new one? A traffic light in the middle of desert: is it the symbol of freedom or of loneliness? These questions are principle for the composition which is, as the matter of fact, an attempt of rythmisation of silence.

Programme note
It is rather a pantomime than a musical composition. Musicians manipulate their instruments as abstract objects regardless their direct and usual musical purpose. The author considers a sound as the inevitable consequence of a gesture, while a gesture as the indispensable condition of a sound. Sometimes the sound is hardly audible. However, the very tactile perception of sounds, performing and listening to the touch form the key material of the piece. Shapes of sounds appear while getting accustomed to the silence, as objects' shapes in darkness.

Programme note
In the "Broken memory" sound is treated as a consequence of a gesture. It is (the sound) determined by natural physical abilities and coordination (i.e. physiology) of musician on the one hand and the structure, acoustical parameters of the instrument on the other hand. Mostly gestures which produce unstable sound are used in the piece. Musicians find themselves in the situation of searching for sound, but not holding them. The duration of sounds in the piece depends on the length of the bow of string instruments. The idea of a circle is in the base of the piece: circle movements of bows and instruments, rotation of glass on the piano strings. The sequence of gestures is also cycled (looped). Thus, the piece stays as a kind of kinetic object which functions till the circle of actions will run out.

Programme note
The composition's title may be decoded as an idea, which astonished me. However, there is no definite translation. It is a virtual language uncovering human emotions, which is used for the Internet and SMS communication. This sign system, which operates simple symbols, can transmit different moods, allowing the user a self-interpretation. The music is based on similar rules: each instrumental part is a combination of several repeating motives/symbols following one another.

Programme note
Piece is based on one note contraoctave E. Rhythms as well as the form of the piece in a whole are determined by simple digital progression. The title can be interpreted as one of musics histories not the global one, but local. At the same time it corresponds to the theory of the music history based on development of the spectrum of harmonics.
